Graduated from highschool in 1974. We're celebrating our 50th class reunion this year. Nice to hear these turns.
I just love your channel it's great! Positivity peace and love ♥️
WOW. 1974 was that Long ago.
50 years my friend and I'm still amazed when I put these videos together that so much time has passed.
1. The Hollies - The Air That I Breathe #6 in June 1974 on the Epic label. 2. John Lennon - #9 Dream released in December 1974 and peaked at #9 in January 1975 on the Apple label. 3. The Kiki Dee Band - I've Got The Music In Me #12 in October 1974 on the Rocket label. 4. The Rolling Stones - Ain't Too Proud To Beg #17 in November 1974 on the Rolling Stones label. 5. Maria Muldaur - Midnight At The Oasis #6 in April 1974 on the Reprise label. 6. Paul McCartney & Wings - Junior's Farm #3 in November 1974 on the Apple label. 7. Lynyrd Skynyrd - Free Bird released in November 1974 and peaked at #38 in January 1975 on the MCA label. 8. John Denver - Annie's Song released in May 1974 and peaked at #1 in June 1974 on the RCA Victor label. 9. Jim Croce - I'll Have To Say I Love You In A Song #9 in March 1974 on the ABC label. 10. I luv, luv, loved Maria Muldaur. Her debut album is a woefully overlooked classic. 'Never Can Say Goodbye never failed to get me on the disco dance floor. But 'Free Bird' only peaked at #38?! Sometimes there is no justice on the Billboard charts.

I REALLY LIKE THIS ... (many songs are familiar) - HU. 😎
Some songs are my favorite too... Thanks... (HU)
Thank you for the brilliant memories!!!❤❤❤❤ 🇦🇺
I like (liked) Jay & The Americans - Come A Little Bit Closer, The Drifters - Saturday Night At The Movies and The Swinging Blue Jeans - Hippy Hippy Shake.
My Favorite Song: The Fortunes - Here It Comes Again.
Favorite Song - Fats Domino and Dave Bartholomew: "It Keeps Raining".
Is that you credited for writing this song...one of my all-time favorites.
@@sonnysoldies5288 Oh no, no...just a coincidence of names🙂
Never heard of Rebel Rebel, Tell Me A Lie and Star. I listened to WABC NY back then.
"HERD"? I think I mentioned these are some of MY favorites...although the songs charted they weren't big hits on the NY market.
@@sonnysoldies5288 My keyboard needed cleaning lol. I thought those songs were okay. I had my sister listen to your video and she doesn't recall those 3 songs either.
@@pdizbon Well, that's 50 years ago. You both probably missed them because they all charted.
Wonderful songs ,wonderful memories. Thank you Sonny for posting these wonderful songs. I see you posted this 10 hours ago and throughout the morning I go through the UA-cam channel and only saw this 30 minutes ago. And I'm loving it ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊

LIKE AN OLD ROLL OF TAPE... My favorite: 3.Aerosmith-Sweet Emotion.... Thanks...(HU)
I have a CD of his 25 best hits, not any losers!
I recently watched the movie "Till" about the tragic Emmett Till murder. The opened the movie with the Moonglows version of "Sincerely." It was a great dramatic film of the events and aftermath of the tragedy. It have always had a weakness for historically accurate movies.🤔👍👍
Listened to part 1 and danced my butt off. Part 2 is just as good. Wish I was born and grew up with this music.
nice Sonny
1969 was one of my favorite years for music. It was also known as "The year the Earth stood still" because of the moon landing.
Gene Pitney was one of the greatest! I have about half of these songs on vinyl, but all of them on CD, including "Amour mio" and other songs that Gene did in Italian. I was so shocked when he passed.🤔😥😪👍x10
WE LOVE YOU, "HESTER SUE"❣️...YOU TOO, ELVIS🥰
The Stylistics#1 Rod Stewart and Paul Simon❤
The Ojays #1 for sure So good❤
Born in 1948. Was curious but at Chicago's "Stronger every day" I was a believer. Thank you so much for all your work. About 15 year ago i had the pleasure to see The Moody Blues in concert here in the Northeast, Saratoga I believe. I mean, how lucky was i to have that chance? And Smoke on the Water? I turned 76 last week. I still flip out with that music. I'm stopping right here. Music like this makes me laugh and cry at the same time.
76 here also...saw Moodies many times while they were all alive. Thanks for commenting.
Thanks for sharing these wonderful 🎵 songs because in 1973 I was in high school. Through the good and bad times it was music 🎼 such as this that kept me going. That’s how I coped with teenage problems especially if you lived with grandparents that were downright old fashioned and conservative. When I listened to music such as this on the radio 📻 I was in another dimension. Thanks for sharing these wonderful songs because they bring back memories.
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
👍👍👍👍👍👍
Hi Sonny I know you didn't mean this as a competition, but there is no comparison to the way Elvis sings it 😍
❤
Long live rock n roll forever
